During my residency, it was not uncommon to find me sitting in my supervisor’s office, nursing a cup of coffee and pouring over a page of notes from a session I just finished. Most often I was positive that I had missed something, or that the intervention I had just implemented was the wrong one. After all, I was appropriately (or anxiously) feeling the weight of being a psychologist, soon to have Dr. in front of my name. How was I always supposed to know what the “right thing” to do was?
