Catherine earned her Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of Wilmington in 2007 and undergraduate degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communications from the University of North Carolina.  She has done additional post graduate course work in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and spent over a decade in nonprofit work supporting women and girls and in animal assisted therapy. Most recently Catherine has worked in private practice focused on women’s issues and maternal mental health.

Catherine uses a client-centered approach, allowing clients to determine their goals and path in counseling.  She creates a safe and non-judgmental environment and focuses on strengths, knowing that clients intrinsically have what they need. Her experience in nonprofits empowering women and girls to use their own voice and tap into their confidence has inspired her focus in counseling. Catherine has additional training from Postpartum Support International and in Experiential Therapy in individual and group settings. Catherine is also certified in Advanced Trauma Treatment- Level 1 through the Ferenz Institute.

Catherine is under the supervision of Chelsey Beauchamp, LPC.
