Alice is a Brazilian-Korean-American Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. Her academic background includes a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgia State University. Fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a therapist, Alice has a profound belief in the transformative power of psychotherapy. She places her confidence in the inherent strength within every client, fostering transformation from the inside out. She values honesty, compassion, authenticity, inclusivity, growth, and approaches her work with professionalism and care.

Alice’s goal is not to ‘fix’ her clients or talk them out of their emotions; instead, her goal is to guide them to uncover the root causes of their challenges while gaining a deeper insight into themselves, their relationships, and behavior patterns. As a therapist, she prioritizes creating a warm, non-judgmental space for clients to process their experiences, and recognizes the intricate layers that contribute to a person’s overall well-being. During sessions, she’ll invite clients to explore how early experiences may influence their current behavior, consider the body-mind connection, and embrace the possibility of developing new thought patterns and practices for a more balanced life.

Alice integrates evidence-based approaches such as Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, Somatic, Narrative, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Mindfulness practices. She is also EMDR trained and fluent in Portuguese. Alice welcomes individuals from all gender identities, racial and cultural backgrounds, and sexual orientations.

Alice has helped clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and post traumatic stress, racial trauma, grief, perfectionism, self-esteem, relationship/communication issues, and identity exploration.

When not counseling, Alice enjoys spending time with her family and friends, writing music, traveling, and eating pasta.
