Amanda is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from University of Georgia. She then went on to earn her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine. While she obtained her Master’s in Atlanta, Amanda gained valuable clinical experience working with patients and families at Piedmont Hospital, in the Radiation Oncology Unit. She also obtained clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families with a wide-range of concerns at the Mercer Family Therapy Center.

Throughout her time in private practice, Amanda has had the opportunity to work with children and adults facing a variety of issues. Specifically, Amanda has worked extensively with children, teens and families experiencing conflict, communication issues, divorce, difficulty with co-parenting, trauma, self harm, self esteem issues and developing effective coping skills. Amanda has also worked at length with individuals experiencing life stage transitions and couples experiencing relationship distress.
