Dustin Ellis received his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Prior to working with GROW, Dustin spent fourteen years using behavioral interventions with children on the autism spectrum and their families. He transitioned into the field of counseling after seeing the unique challenges faced by families with children on the autism spectrum. Dustin prefers a holistic approach to supporting these families and helping them thrive in the future by providing resources and meeting the specific needs of the parents/families/siblings/caregivers who have children on the spectrum
Dustin also specializes in working with couples and has training in Emotionally Focused Therapy to offer hope and understanding communication patterns that keep people stuck in repetitive conflicts. His approach centers on using awareness, practicing compassion, and accepting deeper emotions to create connection and change.
Dustin embraces the words of Esther Perel, “The quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives.”
