Julie received her bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Political Science and Journalism. She earned her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University.

Julie currently works with young adults, adults, and couples.  Her collaborative style focuses on the goals of the client, cultivating a space for growth, and understanding of the client’s lived experience. Julie obtained Integrative Couples Therapy certification through the Integrative Sex Therapy Institute (ISTI).  She is also a certified Prepare-ENRICH Facilitator. 

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in emotionally focused and collaborative theory which allows her to tailor treatment to individual needs within a wide scope of client demographics that include: 

Couples Counseling: Infidelity, parenting, relational distress/disconnection, conflict resolution, trauma, sexuality, premarital counseling, and co-parenting/blending families.

Adults: Anxiety, depression, grief and loss, intergenerational trauma, emotional growth, effective boundaries, work/life balance, LGBTQIA+, sexuality issues, and navigating life stress/transitions.  

Young Adults: Identity, Resilience, Social Media Pressure, Anxiety, ADHD, Peer Relations, Academic Stress, LGBTQIA+, and Launching.  

Julie currently sees clients in-office as well as via telehealth and is under the supervision of Jackie Dunagan, LMFT.
