Dr. Meghan Hammel is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist offering Women’s Behavioral Health services in young adulthood and beyond. She provides support during transitions related to early career or relationships/family, pregnancy/postpartum, and early parenthood years. Many clients report experiencing increased stress or uncertainty during these transitions, and may describe periods of low mood, worry/nervousness, sleep problems, irritability, guilt, or grief/loss. Clients may also struggle with perfectionism or feel overwhelmed and at times burned out by managing career pressures and parenting load.

Therapy sessions integrate strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and self-compassion. Dr. Hammel strives to help clients explore their experiences, thoughts, emotions, and identify personal values with a plan for action. Stress management strategies and effective communication skills may be introduced to assist in expressing feelings/needs and setting boundaries.

Dr. Hammel’s approach is client-centered, interactive, and offers kindness and compassion to the experience. She strives to create a validating, non-judgmental environment where clients can discuss concerns and receive support and strategies to help with coping.
