Preparing for Married Life….part 2…

Make plans to keep in touch with friends: Many couples lose touch with their single friends after the wedding or within the first 5 years of married life so make a plan with your friends to continue to take a yearly trip, have a night out together every month, or call every week. It is just as important for a couple to have separate friends and interest as it is to have shared friends and interest. If your partner is the only significant relationship you maintain after you are married you will be likely to sensitive to your partner’s reaction and any hint of rejection from your differences that are present in almost all relationships.

Part 3 in the series tomorrow.
