5 Ways to Compliment Your Kids

A major role in parenting is instilling confidence in children. In order to feel competent and valued, kids need to hear certain things from their parents. A compliment can drive a child towards great things.

Some of the best and most meaningful compliments can come from Mom and Dad.

Here are five to keep in mind:

  1. Compliment their personality:
“You are fun to be with.”
  2. Compliment them physically:
     “I love your smile.”
  3. Compliment their attitude:
I love that you never give up.”
  4. Compliment their character:
Thank you for being so responsible.”
  5. Compliment their courage:
You are brave. I admire your courage to try new things.”
